Frequently asked questions

Silven replies to some of the most frequently asked questions from visitors.

1 Are Silven collections dedicated to interiors only, or can they be used outdoors?

Silven collections - the refined coverings for vertical surfaces and for fittings decoration, together with the precious skirting boards - are mainly intended for the interior design. All the materials employed are waterproof, frost proof, hard wearing, light resistant, washable and class 0+1 M1 fire resistant: they can therefore be used for exterior decoration too.

2 Are IMPERIAL coverings sunlight resistant too?

The IMPERIAL collection is suitable to be used in exterior areas that are exposed to sunlight: it can be used to cover swimming pools, ornamental pools and fountains, thanks to a special treatment that ensures the protection of the Swarovski crystals, the gold leaf and the platinum leaf from UV rays.

3 Can Silven skirting boards be customised in size, cut and colour?

Depending on the different collections, Silven skirting boards are available in different sizes and colour combinations; the modules can be cut in standard profiles or decorative profiles based on patterns proposed by the customer, to obtain customised interiors that suit each personal need.

4 Can parietal decorations, furnishings decorations and skirting board be combined to create a fully coordinated interior design project?

Certainly: Silven coverings, mosaics and skirting boards collections can interact and meet in unusual combinations - from traditional environments to more dramatic areas - to comply with all creative needs in interior architecture.

5 Are Silven collections suitable to decorate curved surfaces?

IMPERIAL design covering line is particularly suited for curved surfaces: IMPERIAL is available both in large sizes - up to 100 x 100 cm - and in smaller sizes to create mosaics, details and precious finishing, and for the decoration of non-linear surfaces such as columns.
